  • Congratulations to Desirée Santos on being selected as a 2020 Award for Aspirations in Computing (AiC) recipient, granted the Affiliate Honorable Mention prize.

  • Congratulations to the Cranford High School students who placed in the top six of their events at the New Jersey DECA State Career Development Conference which was held from March 2-4, 2020 in Atlantic City, NJ. Cranford High School sent 34 students to this conference to compete against more than 5,000 students representing 108 schools from across New Jersey.

  • CHS and the Cranford School district dedicated and named the library in honor of Dr. Deborah Cannon Partridge Wolfe. Thank you to all those who contributed and planned for this monumentous occasion. Please visit the newly named Dr. Deborah Cannon Partridge Wolfe Library and Learning Commons.

  • Congratulations to Mrs. Balseiro for being one of ten finalists for the Princeton University Prize for Secondary School Teaching!

  • The following Latin students earned Bronze medals on the National Classical Etymology Exam that was offered on Tuesday, November 12th, 2019:

    Rachel Sweet - Latin 3

    The National Classical Etymology Exam tested a student's knowledge of Latin and Greek roots.

  • The Cranford High School Mock Trial Team competed in the Union County semi-finals for the second year in a row, led by our student lawyers, Lee Rosenthal (11) and Lilly Young (9). The 2019-20 trial was a criminal case involving the killing of a beloved police dog, McGreggor. This year the team welcomed Mr. Jesse Hynes, Cranford resident and lawyer at Hynes Elder Law, who coached and mentored the students weekly in preparation for the case.

  • Friday afternoon the CHS Interact Club had a bake sale for Rotary International's Polio cause. They are working on eradicating polio throughout the world. The Rotary matched our donation.

    Saturday the Interact and Earlyact Clubs, along with the Cranford Rotary, volunteered at the Cerebral Palsy 5k.

  • The CHS Latin Club has entered the Scarecrow Stroll for the 10th year in a row! Their scarecrow, “Perseus and the Medusa” is hanging out on the corner of South Ave. and Walnut Ave. Emma Baumann, Lauren Brown, Rebecca Gathercole, and Victoria Lima set him up for the entire Cranford Community to enjoy!

  • The Cranford High School Diversity Council was joined by members of the Global Affairs Cohort and attended a performance called Yasmina’s Necklace at Kean University.

  • The Cranford High School Dance Program hosted a ten-day residency with Alex Bigelson, Associate Artistic Director of 10 Hairy Legs Dance Company.

  • The Global Affairs Cohort visited New York City and were able to meet with representatives from both the Swiss and Brazilian Consulates.

  • Cranford High School hosted the Fall Club Fair on Thursday, October 3rd in the lower gym during lunch. Over 25 organizations participated and shared information about their group and sign-up information. The Spring Club Fair is currently scheduled for February 6th during lunch.
