I was pretty used to getting average math teachers, but this year I can confidently say that Mr. Schugel is the best math teach that I have ever had. His way of teaching is amazing and I love it. During previous years I remember that a lot of the times I wouldn't understand a certain topic, but with Mr. Schugel I have still yet to experience difficulty with understanding certain topics.

He is very open to any questions and difficulties that a student has, and is very good when it comes to figuring out what went wrong on a homework or test. He is also the type of teacher that isn't too strict but will make sure things get done.

Of all the excellent math teachers I've had at CHS, Mr. Schugel has, by far, been the best. I went into AP Calc scared out of my mind only to quickly realize that I had nothing to fear. Mr. Schugel was the most comprehensive teacher I had ever had in Mathematics. I cannot stress enough how much he blew me away. Every day I would tell my parents and my friends how grateful I was to have him as a teacher. I'd never really understood the reasons behind math before Mr. Schugel, I would just punch out formulas and answers like a robot. And so, I disliked the subject for a long time. But Mr. Schugel made the subject FUN for me! And I can safely say that AP Calc was the most enjoyable and enriching class I took this year because of him. Thank you so much Mr. Schugel for your tireless work. Believe me, your students see how much work you do to help us understand the very difficult subject of Calculus and we are so grateful for it.
