I am in the Social Studies Department and currently teach AP and Honors World History.

- Fun Facts:

- I am a jack-of-all trades and always keep busy. I can go from cooking a French meal to trekking up a volcano and then farming vegetables, probably in the same day because I have endless energy.
- I've performed three weddings as an ordained minister in the past two years.
- I'm currently refinishing my cabinets and planting a houseplant jungle at home since I can't travel due to COVID.

So back in beginning of the year I really struggled in world history. As we moved on more and more I noticed how much preassure he put on us because he knew we could do better as a whole. Throughout the year my class and I especially have seen a great improvement in my social, presentational, and participation skills. not only did I improve academically but he is such a great fun teacher to have.

Mr. Hoglund is a dedicated teacher who is so passionate about everything history-related. He had to cover for U.S 1 all year (not his normal class) and he made the transition flawless.

Mission Statement

Founded in 2017, the purpose of the "CHS Spotlight" is to honor and preserve the legacy of our CHS teacher, faculty, and staff family who have left a significant impact on CHS.

Nomination Form:

MUST be filled out and submitted through our secure Google Form in order for any current CHS teacher, faculty, or staff member to be considered to be in the spotlight. Nominations are reconsidered every month if the teacher, faculty, or staff member that was nominated is not yet in the spotlight. A teacher, faculty, or staff member will not be reconsidered to be in the spotlight again until two years have passed since they were in.
