- Is ecstatic that Star Trek has seen such a revival and loves watching all of it on Paramount+
- Has learned that to properly enjoy a buffet, one must first lightly survey all offerings on the first round, and then focus on points of interest on subsequent rounds until satisfied.
- Met his wife in college, but really started talking to her over a game of Trivia Crack several years later.
- Favorite food is microwaved fish

Mr. Jala has continued to have a positive impact on my experience at CHS since I was a measly freshman. He taught my first computer science class and was welcoming to a new, yet engaging topic. Mr. Jala also has some extreme drip levels, always looking dapper in a suit. I can think of no better teacher to win the spotlight award, and Mr. Jala deserves recognition for his above and beyond attitude and teaching!

Mission Statement

Founded in 2017, the purpose of the "CHS Spotlight" is to honor and preserve the legacy of our CHS teacher, faculty, and staff family who have left a significant impact on CHS.

Nomination Form:

MUST be filled out and submitted through our secure Google Form in order for any current CHS teacher, faculty, or staff member to be considered to be in the spotlight. Nominations are reconsidered every month if the teacher, faculty, or staff member that was nominated is not yet in the spotlight. A teacher, faculty, or staff member will not be reconsidered to be in the spotlight again until two years have passed since they were in.
