I have my B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and my Master's in Education of Physical Science from Rutgers University.

- Fun Facts:

- I grew up in the same house my entire life (in Maryland), but since graduating college I have lived in 5 different U.S. states, Italy and Switzerland.
- In high school I played soccer, field hockey and swam. I swam for my university.
- I enjoy jogging, going to the beach, and listening to National Public Radio.

Mrs Nisita is a great teacher who has a great sense of humor! She always makes me laugh and smile in her class. She truly wants her students to succeed, and she will do anything to help them. Physics is a hard subject for a lot of students , but she makes the class fun. I love how excited she gets about Physics, it makes me more motivated to do well in her class. I had trouble with Physics in the beginning of the school year, but with her support, I got better at the subject . I would not have wanted any other Physics teacher. I find it amazing that even on Zoom she is so positive. It’s also helpful how she puts the notes for every Zoom call session on Google Classroom . Her enthusiasm about Physics is amazing, and the amount of patience she has with her students is also. She deserves to be “in the spotlight” because she brightens peoples days (including mine) , and she makes learning a hard topic fun!

Mission Statement

Founded in 2017, the purpose of the "CHS Spotlight" is to honor and preserve the legacy of our CHS teacher, faculty, and staff family who have left a significant impact on CHS.

Nomination Form:

MUST be filled out and submitted through our secure Google Form in order for any current CHS teacher, faculty, or staff member to be considered to be in the spotlight. Nominations are reconsidered every month if the teacher, faculty, or staff member that was nominated is not yet in the spotlight. A teacher, faculty, or staff member will not be reconsidered to be in the spotlight again until two years have passed since they were in.
